Hi I’m Kelly, 48 years young. I have recently moved to Ireland for the time being from New Zealand. I am living in a cute but run down cottage on lots of land in mayo. I was born in UK, moved to Australia, tried to come home a few years ago but that failed so I went to new zealand where I fell in love, still am in love but got my heart broken. So now I live here in Ireland hoping oneday the man of my dreams wakes up and takes me back home. For now I live a quiet life with my beautiful 15 year old daughter,
We are trying to make the cottage a beautiful home, trying to grow our vegetables but it is very hard on your own. Some good friends, good company would make this just perfect. I’m into many things, cooking, craft, knitting, sewing, love animals, walking, hiking, yoga, meditation, self sufficiency and so much more. I’m a bit of an introvert and I don’t like criwds, shopping, I go but don’t like it that much, much prefer to be doing things at home
Hey I’m a new member to and I legit love Korean dramas and Kpop. My dream is to also go there for a nice holiday hopefully. I’d like to get know a few of yous. It’s really hard to find people who like Korean dramas and stuff.
Hey guys
I’m new to this platform. I was just interested to see if anyone else on here is interested in Korea.
I first got an interested in Korea in 2016. I was a first yar in college and had recently discovered kdrama the previous year and kpop that year. I immediately became intrigued by the language and i decided from then on i wanted to move to south Korea. That is when i discovered the Epik program which allows you to work as an English language teacher in Korea. All that’s required is a bachelors degree in any discipline and a tefl certificate. You apply then submit the relevant documents and if yore lucky you get an interview and pass then you get to go to Korea. I have literally been dreaming about this for 5 years now. Sadly I couldn.t apply this year because of the corona virus.
The reason why im so interested in going to Korea is because I just think the language is fantastic. I’ve never heard anything like it before. I love learning new languages and I added korean onto my list. One day I just thought to myself what is the best way to learn a language? Of course the answer was going to the country where the language is spoken. That way you can practice with natives and also get to partake in the culture of that country and learn about the history as well.
I haven’t given up on going yet and I plan to go next year by the grace of God. Wish me luck guys.
If anyone else is interested to hear more or just interested in Korea in general please feel free to comment on this topic. I would love to discuss with other people.

Hi everyone! I’m an American that has spent a lot time in Ireland over the years and I miss it soooo much! I’m an over-50 (!) gal that would love to make some Irish friends. I was originally drawn to the island because of ancestors near Killarney but lately have explored Cork City multiple times because of other ancestors. I day dream of moving there someday and would love to hear from any other Americans that have done so.
Good afternoon, everyone!
My name’s Lara and I’m from Switzerland. I’ve stumbled across this site in my search to learn more about Ireland and to get sort of a starting point, as I am currently looking for an employment in Dublin – it’s always been my dream to work abroad and now I’m finally in the position where I can actually begin to tackle it.
I studied translations (English and French into German) and am currently trying to learn Dutch, Italian and Irish, though the focus clearly is on Dutch. I’m interested in basically everything – as long as it’s presented to me with joy and passion, I’m on board (except all things mathematical, I’m at total loss here…)
Thanks to my dad, I’ve had a fascination for the northern european countries ever since I can remember and have visited Dublin a couple of times in the past.
Despite being interested in many things, I don’t make contact with new people too easily so I’m hoping to find one or two people on this site.
That’s it from me for now, and until soon!
Cheers,
Lara
I just have one huge combined plan, goal and dream for 2020, which is to move to Ireland as I’m considering taking over the small air service that operates between the Aran Islands and the mainland near Galway.
Nothing like the start of a new year to try and plan ahead, especially a new decade and one with nice round numbers too. So I’d love to hear about your plans, goals and dreams for the year ahead.
For me, PLAN to have more fun, continue to build my business and look ahead rather than just at the projects in hand. GOALS to earn more than last year and create better work, stick a trip or two abroad in there. DREAM of being happier and more at peace with myself and to bring that into other people’s lives also. Also really looking forward to growing this website with @Louanne and seeing what it becomes and forever thinking of new features and ways to bring strangers closer together.
