Liam – I studied Multimedia & Communications in Clonmel, graduated and found it hard to get my foot in the door so began a job in Abbott and 4 years later decided it was time to get out and start my own business. I’ve been working for myself for the past 9 years. I’ve been lucky to have worked with numerous clients from large corporate companies to small local businesses. And in my spare time I love to work on side projects and always strive to learn new things, currently trying to read more and aiming to learn Polish & get through a few books in 2020.Co-Founder BFFinder

Howzit! I’m Nadine, originally from South Africa and have been here in Ireland for 9 months now. Living in beautiful bohemian Galway and loving this city! I’m a full time working singly mummy also currently training for an Ultra marathon in Donegal called the 7 sisters that I can’t wait to experience! I like this idea very much as still haven’t really made many friends here in Ireland and this seems like a cool way to do it!

Hi everyone! So my name is Jon (33), currently live in the UK at the moment, however I’m looking to move to Galway as I’m in the process of writing a bid/proposal that will hopefully allow me to take over the operations of the air service that operates between the Aran Islands and the mainland. I originally wanted to join the military, however I wasn’t able to do so at the time due to my eyesight so I turned my attention to commercial aviation and have previously worked at Gatwick and Heathrow airports and also for a private jet firm (believe me, it’s not as glamorous as it sounds…!). Taken quite a bit of time off lately due to mental health issues, however I’m really excited about the prospects for the future and have high hopes of starting a new life in Ireland very soon.

Hello you beautiful people,
I’m Juliana, originally from Malaysia, have been living in Ireland for the last 16 years. I love travelling and outdoor activities, always willing to try new things to do but then I get bored pretty easily and move on to another to-do-thing.
Sorry. What was I saying?
Oh yeah. I enjoy meeting new people, hanging out with delicious food and good story. I’m travelling to Central Asia in March for 2 weeks and always on a look out for ideas on places to visit.
I also have weird sense of humor, it threw people off at the start, but I find inappropriate jokes could sometimes ease the mood.

Dublin native who studied Digital Media Production for three years before transitioning to the world of Computer Systems & Networks. Although I am easily captivated by topics related to film making, photography, psychology, video games and creative DIY projects; I am very open minded about other subjects! After college, you may find me at the library, fixing computers, figure drawing, attending meetups or helping out at home. I also enjoys skiing, swimming, walking, kayaking and cycling.20

Lovely website, thanks.
I’m originally from Dublin, left 30+ years ago. Have lived in various counties. Three years married with two dogs & a cat. In my 40’s with no kids, no siblings & my partner is also an only child so we just have our older close relatives, none of which live near us. Be nice to meet some long term friends. I love travelling & meeting people from other places, have been to Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, Romania, Spain, Crete, US, Scotland, France, Canary Islands, Poland and more and I love going on road trips to pretty places around Ireland or boating along the Shannon. I balance life being a Carer & Micro Entrepreneur & taking time out for family & travel.
Feel free to send me a message.

Hi, I’m Caitriona, from Carlow. I really hope that people make use of this wonderful platform to meet new people. While Ireland may be known as the land of a thousand welcomes, when it comes to making real strong friendships in adulthood, Ireland can be very cliquey. If you move town or country it can be extremely difficult to find lasting friendships here. This site deserves lots of publicity and I really hope people make use of it. The very best of luck 😃☘️

Hi, I am originally from Cork but now living in Tipperary. I only moved here last summer & Ihaven’t really got to know anyone here yet. This Covid lockdown isn’t helping. I fill my time with movies, podcasts & cooking. I hope to make some connections through this lovely platform. I have two dogs to keep me company.

This is the wonkiest site I’ve ever seen. Sorry for the silly posts. The edit button doesn’t seem to work and I’ve no idea how to do anything on here. I’m not normally this ‘special’ I swear. I miss GirlCrew’s functionality. Feel free to msg if you like my profile and have figured this site out. Cheers. (Believe it or not I work in tech, this is embarassing, lol.)00

@hernameislalex Hi Alex and welcome! We have a Gatherings feature that we turned off due to Covid-19 but hopefully in the coming weeks we can add that again so you can post up coffee chats, shopping trips, or book club chats for people to attend.
How was Japan? My sister and nephew have had a few trips there and they were all asking for photos with my nephew 😀10Co-Founder BFFinder

@burkie Could you please add it again so that people could meet for a socially distant walk or coffee? Or even add a book club online chat gathering? At least people could form connections on here before the restrictions lift & have gatherings to look forward to.
I’m near Tipperary Town if anyone is close by & would like to meet.

This website is lovely! I’m Natalia, 34 years old. I’m from Argentina and have been in Dublin for 3 years. I am an engineer and environmentalist and work for an energy efficiency company here. I like everything to do with sustainability, animals, nature. I love books, movies, music, travelling, good veggie food, bakery. I’m in love with Ireland and it’s people, and would be good to find new friends when restrictions are not so strict 🙂

Hi all, I am living near Bray Wicklow for the past 10 years, I love Ireland it’s a beautiful country and the people are great, but as someone else mentioned it does seem quite tricky to make true friends. I made a few friends through my dogs, but some moved away and some just kind of drifted away. I work as a traveling sales person (not at the moment!) so it’s quite solitary, and also a little anti social as I tend to work most evenings. I have 2 rescue dogs and a cat, I love animals, photography, walking/hiking, and going to the pub…Particularly important after a good hike! I love the atmosphere of a good pub, live music, and a game of darts. I’d also love to do something like join a book club as I enjoy reading when I get the chance, I listen to audio books a lot as I have to drive a lot and radio ads drive me mad 😁 I like trying new things, partucularly anything that gives the adrenaline a bit of a boost, or is a bit silly… Been dying to try some bubble football… But I don’t know enough people! Oh, I’m 37…going on 17.

Hi I’m Denise.
I’m 32, living in Laois, mammy to 3 kids and work from home.
Being home all the time can feel like I’m crawling the walls sometimes so it would be lovely to get to know some ladies to meet for a chat, a walk or any get togethers.
It’s hard to make genuine friends but fingers crossed hey 😉

Hi there, I’m Niamh and I’m from Dublin (don’t hold it against me). I’m a final year psychology student and crisis line volunteer as well as a wife and mam to a preteen… So long story short I need to get out of the house lol. I gave up the drink 1.5 years ago and as a result more than a few friends have drifted apart. Would love to find others to meet for coffee, walks, etc (when restrictions are eased of course!).

Hey all, Im 32 and looking to meet some new friends. As we all know it can be hard meeting people as you get older so I would be open to chatting or meeting some new people based around the Dublin / Kildare areas. I just want to point out that it is not me in the pic. I could not get through without one 😬

Looking for a friend or couple to be friends with around our age (26&29) either mom friend for play dates or non mom friends for drinks. Or mom friend for drinks and non mom friends for play dates haha.
I absolutely love dogs, am on a bit of a weight loss journey right now. I love to read but never find enough time because #greysislife.

I’m so excited I found this site! I currently live in Seattle, Washington, USA, but am planning to move to Ireland in the next few years and hope to make some friends before I arrive. I’m 45 years old but people mistake me for much younger. Single and no kids. My ancestors were originally from Ireland a long time ago and I feel in my heart a strong urge to ‘return home.’ I visited Ireland in 2011 and can’t wait to come back. I’m currently studying the Irish language and hope someday to be fluent and live in a place where I can speak it every day to help keep the culture alive and growing.
I have lots of curiosity and enthusiasm about many things: music, photography, nature, contemplative spirituality, monasteries, history, travel, reading, psychology, bird watching, museums, architecture, long hikes, self-improvement, meditation. In my day job I provide tech support to librarians.
I’m a pretty quiet, introverted, easy-going person and hoping to make some deep friendships! Thanks and take care.

Good afternoon, everyone!
My name’s Lara and I’m from Switzerland. I’ve stumbled across this site in my search to learn more about Ireland and to get sort of a starting point, as I am currently looking for an employment in Dublin – it’s always been my dream to work abroad and now I’m finally in the position where I can actually begin to tackle it.
I studied translations (English and French into German) and am currently trying to learn Dutch, Italian and Irish, though the focus clearly is on Dutch. I’m interested in basically everything – as long as it’s presented to me with joy and passion, I’m on board (except all things mathematical, I’m at total loss here…)
Thanks to my dad, I’ve had a fascination for the northern european countries ever since I can remember and have visited Dublin a couple of times in the past.
Despite being interested in many things, I don’t make contact with new people too easily so I’m hoping to find one or two people on this site.
That’s it from me for now, and until soon!

Hi everyone! I’m an American that has spent a lot time in Ireland over the years and I miss it soooo much! I’m an over-50 (!) gal that would love to make some Irish friends. I was originally drawn to the island because of ancestors near Killarney but lately have explored Cork City multiple times because of other ancestors. I day dream of moving there someday and would love to hear from any other Americans that have done so.
