The simplest advice is: jump in. Arc Raiders is available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5. A headset is highly recommended, both for communication and for audio awareness – sound cues are crucial for detecting enemies and other players.

After creating your character, you’ll begin on the Dam Battlegrounds map. While additional locations like Buried City and Stella Montis unlock later, it’s best to spend your early hours learning the Dam. The enemy density is lower, and player encounters are generally less aggressive.

During your first few raids, focus on exploration. Learn enemy behaviours, search buildings thoroughly, and practice extracting safely. Loot everything you find at the start. Common materials like wires and springs are essential for crafting, while rare junk items can be sold or recycled for scrap.

Progression and survival tips

Upgrading your workstations should be a priority, as crafting allows you to become less dependent on traders. Whenever you find a blueprint, place it in your safe pocket so you keep it even if you die. High-value areas marked in red on the map, as well as special events like night raids or electromagnetic storms, offer better loot but come with higher risk.

The skill tree is divided into Conditioning, Mobility, and Survival. You won’t be able to unlock everything, so early choices matter. New players should prioritise Mobility skills, especially stamina upgrades – running away is often the smartest move. From there, focus on Conditioning if you plan to fight other players, or Survival if you prefer stealth and looting.

Always carry healing ARCR Items, shield rechargers, and adrenaline shots. Smoke grenades are invaluable for escaping both robots and hostile players, while seeker grenades are cheap and highly effective against flying enemies like Wasps and Hornets.

Expand your stash size as soon as possible and keep upgrading it until you reach the maximum of 280 slots – you’ll need the space. If you’re short on money, the Pale Apartments, Ruby Residence, and Pattern House in the Dam are packed with valuable trinkets and relatively safe to loot.

Finally, take advantage of the free load-out option offered before raids. It’s perfect for learning new maps or rebuilding after a death. If you survive, you can even upgrade your basic augment for free at Lance.

One last thing: the game tracks player aggression. Shoot less, cooperate more, and you’re more likely to be matched with like-minded raiders. Be friendly, help others, and you may find Arc Raiders is just as much about cooperation as it is about firepower.

Every player needs a lot of ARC Raiders Items, I suggest you go to a third-party website like MMOexp.com to buy, safe and comfortable transactions, and years of experience to ensure the security of your account.

Track your DPS and kill times to experiment with different spell orders or weapon abilities. Over time, you’ll find the most efficient rotation for your current toolkit – meaning faster kills, less downtime, and more XP per hour.

Save Gold the Smart Way

Mounts in Classic WoW are expensive, and poor WoW Classic Fresh Gold management can delay them by hours or even days. Here’s how to save effectively:

Craft and sell bandages – or check if raw cloth sells higher on the AH.

Use a vendor price addon – always pick the quest reward with the highest sell value.

Flip items or food – cook meat to increase its value or use it to save gold on healing.

Train only essential abilities – use the WhatTraining addon to plan ahead and skip unnecessary spell ranks.

Grind on humanoids or beasts – they drop silver, cloth, and vendor trash worth solid gold.

Conclusion

Classic WoW is as much about patience and planning as it is about adventure. With these 10 tips, you’ll not only level faster but also play smarter – saving gold, optimizing XP routes, and staying ahead of the curve.

Remember: it’s not about grinding mindlessly; it’s about playing efficiently. Use your addons wisely, make friends, and always keep an eye on your gold. When you finally hit level 60 with your mount already paid for, you’ll thank yourself for leveling like a genius – not an idiot.

Hardcore WoW Classic: Forging a New Ally and the Path to Sulfuras

In Hardcore WoW Classic, every decision carries weight. A single mistake can erase hours-or even days-of hard-earned progress. That high-stakes nature is what makes the challenge so exhilarating. The ultimate goal: defeat Ragnaros and forge his legendary weapon, Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros. The twist is simple yet brutal-only self-crafted gear and items may be used. No auction house, no looted epics, and no shortcuts. Survival relies solely on professions, preparation, and persistence. Having enough WoW Classic 20th Anniversary Gold can help you a lot.

To achieve this, five separate characters operate together, each specializing in a unique set of professions to support the rest. The journey has already seen setbacks and victories alike. In previous sessions, progress carried the warrior to level 20 and the druid to level 12, unlocking Bear Form. This week’s advancement was slower due to outside circumstances, but every bit of it laid crucial groundwork for what’s ahead.

Every player needs a lot of WoW Classic 20th Anniversary Gold, I suggest you go to a third-party website like MMOexp.com to buy, safe and comfortable transactions, and years of experience to ensure the security of your account.

Hi,

I’m in the process of applying for a few programs to go back to school in Ireland. I have a few friends there, but would like to make more! I just got back from a trip around the island in November and am headed out there in January again.

I’d love to make some connections, especially in anticipation of living there for next Autumn’s semester!

Happy to chat about most things, love new people! Don’t be shy.

Thanks!

Had a baby at 40 and finding it rewarding of course but hard…. as the things I used to be able to do like going for walks alone with my dog or going to a gig are not things I’m able to do anymore. I’ve decided to try and inject more balance in my life by prioritising more ‘me time’ as I feel. need it to be an even better mom! But being removed from society for so long has started to take a toll on me and I know I need more contact with adults! And more mental stimulation. I wonder if any other moms feel the same?

Hi there!
I’m Sonia, a Spanish student excited to move to Dublin at the end of February for an internship.
Having grown up in a small village, I’m eager to embrace new experiences and explore the vibrant culture of the city. I’m particularly interested in trying out activities like watching musicals, playing tabletop role-playing games (like Dungeons & Dragons), and other fun experiences that I’ve missed out on due to my personal circumstances. In my free time, I love reading, binge-watching series and movies, and diving into genres like fantasy, science fiction, and horror. I can be a bit shy at first, but I’m looking to connect with friendly, open-minded people, especially in the LGBTQ+ community.
If you’re up for some adventures or just want to chat about our favorite shows and books, feel free to reach out! Looking forward to making new friends in Dublin!

Hi I’m Nia, another 40-something Irish lady who has moved back to Ireland after some decades abroad and now find myself wondering “yikes, how on earth do we make new friends at our age!?”. I live in the south-side of Dublin, and work in the creative industries.

My spouse and our daughter have both settled into their new Dublin life really well, I’m just lagging behind a little bit because I work from home a lot. So I’d love to push myself to be more sociable, I’m not a drinker but love getting out for a cuppa, or a pastry!

I love pop music, vegetarian food, reading trashy novels, comedy, video games, all that good stuff! I would consider myself a loyal and supportive friend, I’m still close with my old college pals from back in the day. All new friends welcome, best wishes

Hello, BFFs! I am counting the days until we can fix up our house in California and sell it, then move to Ennis. The current plan is April 2025. Tick tock tick tock.

I grew up in South Africa, lived in Dublin for a few years in the 1980s, and have spent the last several years in California. Now our kids are grown and it’s time for Pat and me to go exploring on our own, and what better spot than Co. Clare, amirite?

There are a lot of people reaching out here on BFF. I’m curious how well that’s working. I’m fairly introverted so it’s always been hard for me to “just make friends”, and I find it super awkward to reach out to a stranger and say “hey I’ll be your friend” because you never know what you’re getting into. 😬 When we were young, our school classmates provided a good pool of potential friends. At work, we’re exposed to people who might turn into friends. (Unless you worked where I used to work 🙄) And when you’re in a new place and don’t know anyone, it’s really, really hard.

But research shows that one way to start friendships is to keep showing up.

One of the first things I’m going to do when we hit the ground in Ireland is sign up to volunteer… somewhere. I’ve found a few volunteer orgs but I’d love to get some suggestions. Who knows, I might even be able to connect with one of them before we get to Ireland.

What volunteer orgs do YOU recommend?

Ripley. It’s amazing. Starring Irish actor Andrew Scott.

I loved the neo-noir aesthetic. But the understated actor was what makes this series soooo good. And who knew Dakota Fanning! I mean she’s never really had a role she could dig into to this extent. Quite excellent.

I'm Irish, I lived abroad for many years. I think because I didn't see the people I went to school with we all grew apart as time went by. I'm single and many people I know are in relationships or living in other places. I find it's harder to make friends as you get older generally unless you make new friends through work and that's not always easy. I think it's difficult to make friends because many people are very busy or have settled on their friends already.
So I think we have to make the effort with the small talk and see where it leads…
Really hoping to get to know some interesting new people on this site and make some new friends.

Hey,
I am in my late 40s and moved back to Ireland a few years ago, just before COVID hit. Most of my previous friends now have much younger kids than mine and are not interested in taking time off from their families, which is fine and understandable.
I am hoping to make new friends with similar interests to mine. Not interested in a romantic relationship, just friendships.
It is my first day here but I am getting the feeling not much is happening. Is there still someone around Dublin that is active in this site? If so, please feel free to give me a shout!

Long story short:
Male, dad to 1, mullingar, 40’s, looking to make friends.

Long story long, I’ve moved around a bit and struggled to keep long term friends, primarily because I expect ultimate loyalty from friends. Partly because I’m quiet, always have been, always will be.
I do ove a good night out though. Love music, people always assume it’s rock I will like, but it’s everything from rock to trance and heavy house music. Love reading. Oscar Wilde. Edgar Allen Poe. Fiction. Micheal connelly. Graham masterton. Ken Bruen. Lee Child. Self improvement or business books.
Love nerdy stuff, not superheroes or marvel, but gadgets, Space, sci-if. Love wine and coffee. I’m socially awkward, but hide it well and get there in the end.

I’d be interested in meeting up with anyone interested in adding friends to their lives. HMU

Hi,
I'm just looking for someone to meet for coffee, or a beer, take a walk, maybe do a boat trip or a bike ride, or whatever you like. I'm here a while, but haven't met anyone outside of work. I'd love to hear from anyone m or f.

I am interested in language exchange since I speak Spanish and I would like to improve my english.

I have moved "recently" to Ireland and I find it difficult to make friends here whatsoever. I believe that making friends in one's 30s can be a bit challenging even in one's own country. But I guess in Ireland the difficulty is doubled, if not tripled.

"Recently" means around 10 months by now.

If anybody is willing to meet for a coffee or tea, I would be more than happy to do so.

🤞

Is there anyone on this site actually genuinely interested in connecting and making new friends? All I see are profiles which have very little or no information and some can't even be bothered to have a photo, just join with no other info.

I am mid 40s single female, no kids and no interest in having kids. I left Ireland after college and returned a few years ago. I am finding Irish people very reluctant and adverse to making friends and allowing a new person into their social groups. I don't have the same life experiences as other 40 something Irish people and if you are single with no kids, it seems that you are very much the outsider and people just cant relate as Irish society revolves around family.

My interests are
• European city breaks solo travel
• USA city breaks solo travel
• Visiting Disney parks
• Online communities and social media
• Gothic fantasy vampire movies and tv
• Marvel and superhero movies and tv
• Star Wars movies and tv
• National geographic documentaries

I just want to have real life people to talk to , to maybe meet up for coffee or shopping. I'm not looking for a romantic relationship, just to have someone that would ring me and say what are you doing Saturday, lets go try the new summer menu at Starbucks and have a chat.

Hi anyone reading this 🙂

My name is Jennifer and i am 33 and living in Derry. I am on here in the hopes to make some friends online and possibly offline. I am a carer for my parents so chances to get out and about can be limited.

Just looking for people to chat with who have similar interests or goals.

Some of my interests include reading [non-fiction], zoology [sadly i am without a pet right now lol] and history. Although i am not out as much as i used to or want to be i really love spending time outdoors, especially around the water – sea, lake, river, i like them all lol.

In terms of media interests i enjoy all sorts of music from pop, rock to trance and some classical. I enjoy watching comedy panel shows and documentaries and also tv series like The Office[US], Six Feet Under, Game of Thrones etc, also some older comedies – Faulty Towers, Gimme Gimme Gimme etc. Also some podcasts revolving around debunking pseudoscience.
