Hi I’m Nia, another 40-something Irish lady who has moved back to Ireland after some decades abroad and now find myself wondering “yikes, how on earth do we make new friends at our age!?”. I live in the south-side of Dublin, and work in the creative industries.
My spouse and our daughter have both settled into their new Dublin life really well, I’m just lagging behind a little bit because I work from home a lot. So I’d love to push myself to be more sociable, I’m not a drinker but love getting out for a cuppa, or a pastry!
I love pop music, vegetarian food, reading trashy novels, comedy, video games, all that good stuff! I would consider myself a loyal and supportive friend, I’m still close with my old college pals from back in the day. All new friends welcome, best wishes

Hi, I’m Bethwyn, I’m 19 and Australian, I moved here 6 months ago with my fiancé who’s Irish, and our dogs will be flying over next month. I’m in cork and it’d help to find friends close to me. I love nature, going for bush walks or to nature reserves and wildlife parks, i paint and draw or play Minecraft in my spare time, but would like to meet people and start going out more, being more social. I can be really shy and awkward but once I’m comfortable I’m super goofy, loud and expressive. I’ve never had many friends and find it hard making friends, so I hope this site works. So as it’s the weekend we’d love to know what’s your favourite takeaway to treat yourself to after a long week and shoutout the takeaway also, or do you prefer to cook a fakeaway at home instead 🙂
For me it would have to be a Prego Pizza in Clonmel (would recommend for any to drop in if you’re ever in the area), getting a 16″ ham, mushroom, sweetcorn and onion for just €9.50, or the odd pepperoni pizza from time to time!
Or Chinese wise I’d go to Mary 19 for Salt & Chilli Shredded Beef.
