In my 60's, recently retired from a mid-level management position, and am living with my husband. I have no children. I am finding life in rural Ireland to be very lonely. Its hard to make friends when you don\'t have work, sports and/or children in common, and also live in an area with a small population. My interests cover current affairs, reading, films and entertainment, reading, cooking, gardening, nature and wildlife, and my pets. I am thoughtful and introverted by nature but I like deep conversations about chunky subjects even though I am not an academic or intellectual in any way at all. I'd love to find a friend of either gender for chats - online first perhaps - and then maybe coffee or a walk. I also hope that friendship with me might help someone else too. Thanks for reading this.
