I am originally from South Africa and moved to Ireland with my husband, Joseph, (Irish) nearly 20 years ago. We are looking to make friends with other geeky couples so we can finally play those board games that need 4 or more people! We enjoy family days out with our 9 year old and exploring the neighbourhood. As both human parents and cat parents, you should expect a bit of toilet humour. I’m a stay at home mum and previously worked in writing and editing. I’m learning to crochet and to sew clothes. I enjoy reading sci fi, fantasy, crime and also some non fiction. I’ve recently read “Four Thousand Weeks: Time and How to Use It”, which poses some thoughtful questions on what the best use of one’s time is; this resonated with me a fair bit. I’m looking for gal pals to explore the local area on foot or bike. I love laughing at ridiculous things, and having open, honest conversations. Joseph is in tech and works remotely much of the time, so he’s a bit of a hermit and suspicious of new people. :P He’s a big fan of honesty and is brilliant at finding the humour in life. He hates fake people and subtitles. He loves martial art movies so much he’ll even watch the ones with subtitles. He enjoys drawing and tshirt design, as well as learning new things in nature documentaries and science shows.
