Hi Everyone! First of all I would like to say a big welcome to everyone who has joined this website so far and hopefully you will find great friendship from this website and looking forward to seeing more people checking this out also!

This idea came into my head a few weeks ago as I was having a conversation with a friend I met while playing Pokémon Go. We were saying how great the game was to bring us together and to also have met a few friends along the way.

I remember when I first moved to Ireland, I didn’t know anybody in Clonmel, all my husband’s relatives were an hour away so we wouldn’t see them every day. I was finding it very hard to engage in conversation with a complete stranger no matter how hard I would try. I knew I had to eventually go and try to make new friends but I was always shy at first. I only met my first few friends when I started working in a cafe a year after being over here.

So I was telling my friend how much easier it would be if we could have a website where you could go and find people in your hometown or nearby in a similar situation with some matching interests. I was lucky enough that my friend Liam creates websites for a living, and he was able to help me get this website live.

I know for a fact that finding a friend is not easy, especially if you’re moving to another city or county. And at the end of the day, we all need to have friends. I am truly hoping with this website will help anyone out there that might be too shy or just not sure how to approach someone to make the first step of your new friendship. So we’re here to help you make that first step!
